| scorchio | My first big mountain sportive. Fantastic event - if very hard! - definitely going to do it again.
Make sure you train though! Also, when in the pyrenees, prepare for all weather: day before was 10 degrees and wet on Tourmalet, day of the race sun and 30 degrees... | 96.57% |

| busdevlee | Brilliant. It was a hot day, my Garmin recorded a max of 34C in the valley. Bit dissappointed with my time. Got to the bottom of Tourmalet in 7 hrs, then bang, blew up big time on the tourmalet. took me 3 hours to get up and over. Still I made it, several thousand unfortunately didn't. It was my first etape, some seasoned riders said it was one of the hardest they had done. Thoroughly recommend having a crack, but make sure you train well, otherwise the mountains will bite! | 99.9% |
