Entry into this Sunday's Performance Cycles Winter Mini-Sportive closes tomorrow (Wednesday 14th) and there are still a handful of spaces left if you're quick. The third event in the ever popular winter series takes place just a week before Christmas - a great final ride before the festivities really kick in!!

The stripped back Mini-Sportives offers riders a choice of two fully signed routes (of 45 and 65 miles), full mechanical back up (from sponsors Performance Cycles) as well as the now legendary post ride bacon rolls, along with lots of cake and hot drinks - all for just £9.50 per rider - at the Cotswold Water Park.

With Christmas nearly here, the route won't be the mid-season killer you would might get from other sportives, but is still enough of a challenge to get the legs going and with the forecast set to be dry (if a little overcast!!) what better excuse do you need to get out on your bike!!

Event organiser, Andy Kirk, told us "Our mini-sportive series has been running for seven years now, and the simple format seems to work well. It all started off as a way to keep local club riders going through the winter months, and has developed from there - we even had to move venues a couple of years ago as we needed more space, and even now we can only accept 150 entries each month!!"

The Performance Cycles Mini-Sportive series runs right through until March 2017 - with one event per month to keep the legs ticking over.
