Entry £25 upto 28th February, £28 from 1st March The event will be based from Llanwrtyd Wells (LD5 4RA). There are 50, 80, and epic 120 mile options. Llanwrtyd Wells is set in a superb area for road cycling - stunning scenery, quiet roads, smooth tarmac (you will be hard put to find a pot-hole). Depending on which distance you choose you will be tackling the Devils Staircase, Devils Arch, Black Mountain and Cwm Owen (Tour of Britian King of The Mountains section). All 3 routes tackle the infamous Devils Staircase (the tough side) at 16 miles in, so you will be warmed up for this brute of a climb (see the video from the milk race below). On the 50 mile route, once the Devil's Staircase is under your belt you'll only have to tackle the Tirabad climb. The scenery on the route is stunning, especially the Abergwesyn Valley and the section around the Llyn Brianne Reserviour. The 80 mile route goes on to tackle the Climb into the top of the Cothi Valley, and then the climb up to the Usk reservoir, followed by the rolling roads back to the finish. The 120 mile route is much tougher, takes in the same climbs as the 80 mile route but also throws in the Bwlch Cerrig Duon followed by the climb to Crai. The route follows the rolling roads back to the finish. With 5004 metres of climbing this is going to be an epic day out! We believe we have some of the best feed stations on any event in the UK, supplied for us by the Drovers Rest restaurant in Llanwrtyd Wells - delicious home-made cake, flapjacks, welsh cakes, savoury options, water, energy powder and hot drinks. The event is not a race and the feed stations are a big part of the event experience. At the finish you will receive your well-deserved finisher's medal and we will have a pasta meal waiting for you in the HQ. We will be using a computer system for the timing and the final rider times will be e-mailed out to all riders within 24 hours of the finish, the times will also be added to the Cyclosport website.
