A fantastic Sportive, I do at least seven others a year, and this is by far my favorite. A real tough grind in fantastic scenery. Although run on a small scale, unlike larger events with big name sponsorship, this event is very well organised and run. I do worry about this event getting too big and commercial because I really do feel this is an intimate event that really pulls folk together. I have no real criticism (other than the riders who litter the route with empty gel pouches) and I only offer the following comments to verify my 'sub 10' scores above. I do understand that these are just MY feelings....
Feed stops; Although it was all that was needed, and correct, more choice of foodstuff and fluids would be nice, though I do understand that may require further costs, or sponsorship of a provider.
Timing: I would much prefer the helmet sticker method on other sportives.
Support; I didn't need it so cannot really comment, but I was impressed how often I saw the van around the route.
Website; I had problems trying to use the Si bookings (which may well of been my own fault?)

Excellent value for money, brilliant organisation and amazing marshalls. The whole course was clearly signposted and the route itself is exceptionally beautiful. The race HQ had everything you could need; ample parking, toilets, etc. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

First Valleys Velo but not my last!!! Not a long course by sportive standards but definately tough, Would definately be on my Bucket List of sportives. Completed the Epic route taking in all the iconic mountains and climbs in the South Wales Valleys.
