Extra Places Released for the Santini Cotswold Spring Classic 2014

by Nick Gregory

With just under three weeks to go until the 2014 Santini Cotswold Spring Classic, organisers, Velo Events, have released extra places for one of the traditional sportive season openers.

"We initially sold out a couple of weeks ago," Event Director, Andy Kirk told us, "and since then we've been working to secure additional parking for riders. This has enabled us to add just over 200 places to the event - over half of which have already gone."

The event, which takes place on Easter Monday each year, continues to grow thanks to the support of sponsor, Italian clothing giant Santini.

Based from Cirencester College in the heart of the Cotswolds, the event offers riders a choice of three stunning routes and some testing climbs to kick the season off.

With an entry cost of £24.50 the Santini Cotswold Spring Classic offers fantastic value for money - as well as the usual trimmings you'd expect from a sportive: fully signed routes, well stocked feeds, NEG outrider support, hot food at the finish, neutral service support out on the course (provided by Performance Cycles / Fulcrum) and a goodie bag from Santini which will, as always, include a much needed Easter egg for riders, along with a little something from Santini.

Entry for the event is still open, but places are filling up fast - and there will be no availability for riders to enter on the day.
