by Henry Peacock

HotChillee announces its team line-up for The London-Paris 2013. The teams participating this year come from a wide variety of sectors, including media, technology, FMCG and financial. The diverse mix of teams includes ICAP, Tullet Prebon, SiS, Brewin Dolphin, City Index, Hogan Lovells, Bikeradar, Adventure HQ, Mercedes-Benz and Stabus Rhino Peloton.

Riders In Paris

This year The London-Paris celebrates its tenth anniversary and, over the course of its life, team places have become highly sought after. HotChillee's events attract teams from across the globe, with participants from Hong Kong, South Africa and Australia to name a few. Many of the teams stem from individual participants from previous years wanting to get more involved in the event.

Teams consist of four riders and team members can ride across any of the seeded speed groups. The aggregate result for the best three riders' times for each yellow (GC) section is used to determine the team time. To qualify for the prestigious Best Team award, all riders must be in group 1 or 2 for the entire ride. Each year there is stiff competition for the Best Team award, which creates a great deal of camaraderie and friendly banter between contenders. Last year Team SiS took the win for the third time in as many years and are back for 2013.

A HotChillee Ride Captain Leads The Bunch

Simon Klima, Marketing Manager, Science in Sport, says: "Science in Sport is delighted to be supporting over 400 riders on the 10th edition of The London-Paris. We have an exciting team from the cycling industry including our Team Captain Simon Lillistone, Olympian and Cycling Manager at London 2012, Cycling Plus editor Rob Spedding and Telegraph Cycling editor John MacLeary, joined on day 1 by ITV's voice of the Tour de France, Ned Boulting.  The London-Paris is a great challenge for the riders and SiS will be there every step of the way, providing our nutritional expertise to not only our team, but to all the other SiS-fuelled riders as we share the experience out on the road to Paris."

Sven Thiele, founder of HotChillee, says: "Our team places fill fast and we get a broad mix of teams. Their motivation ranges from wanting to win the Best Team award, providing team building or client engagement and brand exposure. Our objective is to provide intense, authentic sporting experiences, helping exceptional people achieve these exceptional feats."
