Cycling event specialists, Always Aim High Events have today announced that the ever-popular Tour de Môn sportive has smashed through 1,300 entries, meaning that 2015 is now guaranteed to be the biggest edition yet.
Entries are still open for the event which takes place on Sunday 23 August. The route of the Tour de Môn takes riders to the most beautiful and iconic locations on the wonderful island of Anglesey.
Boasting possibly the most beautiful coastline in the whole of the UK, Anglesey is one of Britain's best-kept secrets and the Tour de Môn is arguably the best way to explore it.
Anglesey is an area that has always been incredibly popular with local cycling enthusiasts thanks to some amazing riding roads. Don't be deceived by the 'flat' isle name though, the Tour de Môn will be a challenge whatever your level of fitness.
Events Manager, Rob Samuel is delighted that the Tour de Môn is proving as popular as ever: "The Tour de Môn really is a unique cycle sportive. The views that will meet the cyclists along one of the three routes are nothing short of spectacular."
Samuel continued: "Entries have been flooding in now for the past couple of months and we expect that the event will have over 1,500 participants, which is great!"
"The Tour de France has just finished, so what better excuse and inspiration to get out on the bike? We have three routes available; The Mawr (103 miles), Canol (75miles) and Bach (40miles). Therefore this event is perfect for cyclists of all abilities," Samuel concluded.

The Tour de Môn is the first of a series of events that AAHE will be organising in partnership with Magnox and Anglesey County Council. The sportive will kick off a number of "Ride Anglesey" events that aim to promote and celebrate cycling on the beautiful island of Anglesey.
The Ride Anglesey festival includes the 'Ride the Tour' sportive, which will give cycling enthusiasts the opportunity to ride some of the route that the stars of professional cycling will tackle a day later during the first stage of the Tour of Britain, starting in Beaumaris.
With two routes available - a 33-mile single lap or a 66-mile two lap ride - and only 850 places up for grabs, you'll need to sign up fast to secure your entry.
