Registration for the 2015 Haute Route events will open on Friday 15th August at 12:00 CET, on the eve of the first of three 2014 Haute Route events. The Haute Route Dolomites Swiss Alps gets underway on Saturday, 16th August from Venice as 450 amateur riders representing 40 countries take on the Italian and Swiss giants. 

To coincide with the start of the first event, there will be no shortage of inspiration for riders who have yet to take on one of the highest and toughest cyclosportives in the world, as over the next three weeks the cycling community can share the highs and lows of over 1,100 riders taking on the Dolomites and Swiss Alps, the French Alps and the Pyrenees. 

Despite the complexities of staging three, seven-day Haute Route events back to back, that each include marathon stages plus an individual time trial across the most legendary cols of Europe’s premier mountain ranges, the organisers, OC Sport are announcing the 2015 events now so that riders around the world can start planning and training a year ahead. OC Sport plan to run the Haute Route Pyrenees 2015 event in the third week of August followed by the Haute Route Alps in the fourth week of August and the second edition of the Haute Route Dolomites- Swiss Alps in the first week of September. 

Also under consideration, and to give a fresh approach to the challenges of taking on these courses, is to reverse the traditional routes of previous events so riders may tackle the mythical cols from the opposite direction. The DNA of the Haute Route events will remain the same, with 800+ km, 20 mythical cols and 20,000m of vertical ascent over 7 timed days on each event.

The registration process, starting this Friday 15th August, will be phased between now and December starting with a first month that offers riders an ‘Early Bird’ discount. There are also further incentives in place for teams of 8 riders who will receive one free entry for a 9th rider; and for the hardcore amateur riders who want to take on not one but two or even three events, additional discounts are in place for Iron Riders (two events) and Triple Crown Riders (three events). For any previous Haute Route rider who introduces one or more new riders to the Haute Route, they will receive a cycling kit voucher to use in 2015. 

The organisers will also confirm this autumn the Haute Route Compact 2015 events, which will remain a concentrated version of the Haute Route experience over 2 or 3 consecutive days.

• From Anglet Basque Coast to Barcelona (or potentially Toulouse or Girona)

2015 Registration Process

1) Early Bird registration phase (period 15.8.14 to 15.9.14)

€1,200 entry free (not including accommodation) 

Riders can enter the Haute Route 2015 through the Early Bird registration from Friday 15th August to Monday 15th September 2014, by paying the preferential entry fee of 1,200 Euros. Riders entering the Haute Route 2015 at this time will have a guarantee in order to purchase the accommodation package of their choice, by paying a 200€ deposit. Exact dates and Grand Depart / Finish cities will be confirmed at the end of September 2014.

2) Normal registration phase (period 1.10.14 to 15.10.14)

€1,400 entry fee (not including accommodation) 

Riders can enter the Haute Route 2015 from Wednesday 1st October to Wednesday 15th October by paying the entry fee of 1,400 Euros. At this time, the exact dates and Grand Depart / Finish cities of each event will have been confirmed by the organisers. Riders will be able to enter the Haute Route and purchase their accommodation packages subject to availability.

3) Penultimate registration phase (period 1.11.14 to 15.11.14)

€1,500 entry fee (not including accommodation)

Riders can enter the Haute Route 2015 from Saturday 1st November to Saturday 15th November by paying the entry fee of 1,500 Euros. At the end of this penultimate registration phase, the organisers will have confirmed the detailed courses of two or three of the 2015 events. Riders will be able to enter the Haute Route and purchase their accommodation packages subject to availability.

4) Final registration phase (period 1.12.14 to 15.12.14)

€1,600 entry fee (not including accommodation) 

Riders can enter the Haute Route 2015 from Monday 1st December to Monday 15th December by paying the entry fee of 1,600 Euros. At this time the organisers will have confirmed the detailed courses of all events. Riders will be able to enter the Haute Route and purchase their accommodation packages subject to availability.

Team Entry:
Enter a Team of 8 riders and the 9th entry is free (not including accommodation).

Incentive for introducing new riders:
Any previous Haute Route rider introducing the Haute Route to one or several new riders who register for 2015 (7-day events), will receive a €100 cycling kit voucher to use in 2015.
