The organisers Kilo To Go have been watching the weather forecast for the weekend and have decided to postpone Wiggle Cheshire Cat sportive scheduled for the 24th March. The organisers are very disappointed but their primary concern is for the safety of participants. The safety of other road users, staff and contractors is also a concern as bringing thousands of participants into the area in such conditions could create many problems.

This being an avoidable event the organisers did not want to put strain on the emergency services that could already be stretched due to other unavoidable weather related matters. By announcing this postponement now it will ensure that participants will not have to wait until closer to the event and do not incur further travel costs. The most up to date weather information available was used to come to this conclusion.

The new date for 2013 Wiggle Cheshire Cat is Sunday 7th July.

Kilo To Go say about the postponement: "We do apologise for the inconvenience the postponement may have caused but hope that you appreciate why we've made the call on this occasion. We look forward to seeing you on the 7th July and hope the weather is like it should be on that day!"
