Excellent day out, stunning scenery and brutal course, over half the people I saw were pushing up many of the hills, so achievement one is just to get around without putting your foot down, 11-32 is a must for this one, would love to know how many golds they gave out? they must have been super human :=)

Haing ridden the Standard last year tried the Epic this year, not least for Maratona training. Boy was that tough from mile 70 but being local knew what was coming.
Route was challenging though the section to Avonwick was poor quality. Feed stations great. Sad that the T-shirts at theend had run out of large. Knowing a number of riders were on the Epic a proportion should have been left behind for later riders rather than letting them all go to Standard riders so running out too picky?
A great ride and people look out to support rides by volunteering to help for a couple of hours and get a free ride bonus. Glad to see malcolm Elliot riding this one too!

Great event. Excellent facilities at registration. Signage inspirational, motivational and, at times, amusing! My only concern was that I passed the Olympic swimmer Sharon Davies who was walking up one of the hills and finished before her. I then observed her crossing the line well after me yet when the timings were published, her time time was 58 minutes ahead of me!! May have been a spot of celebrity PR. All on a level playing field I thought.....

Really well organised. Beautiful scenic route. The stretch from Ashbuton up Poundsgate (25%) followed by the climb out of Widecombe on the 95 miler was one of the biggest challenges I have faced in a sportive. Steep and very long but rewarded with a thrillingly fast descent from Haytor. This is one of the best sportives I have riden and hope it comes back again next year.

Slick organisation and a ride of otstanding beauty. I am biased I am from Devon. This is tough especially today with wind and rain into your face. Some tricky technical descents for those who do not know the area. Fantastic ride though, good goody bag with result given as soon as you finished. Signage brilliant including humourous mickey takes as you climb two of the 100 climbs of Britain, Dartmeet and Widecombe. To be greeted with "Shut up Legs" on the last climb to the finish made me laugh. On a sad point I took a drive after up to Haytor later to see a few 90 milers returning, I saw a rider had crashed on the descent near the top, I hope he i ok.
This was a tough event made "worse" by the weather. Thoroughly enjoyed it, congratulations to all involved nice medal to finish, thanks Martin and the team.
