The Bethany Sportive is a non-competitive Sportive Event organised by Bethany Christian Trust. All the funds raised from the registration of this event will go to help homeless and vulnerable people throughout Scotland.
Now in its 7th year, this exciting event for serious amateurs is growing from strength to strength. We're excited to announce that we have introduced a new shorter route option to this year's Bethany Sportive and we will be providing chip timing on all routes.
Participants can choose from 3 routes: the Super Challenge Route of 102 miles, a slightly shorter Challenge Route of 72 miles, and, new for 2015, our Taster Challenge Route of 30 miles.
All routes leave from Lasswade High School, Bonnyrigg. The Super Challenge and Challenge Routes head south over the Moorfoot Hills to Innerleithen where they split. The Super Challenge Route takes a spectacularly scenic route around the borders before meeting the Challenge route just west of Selkirk. Meanwhile, for the Challenge Route, riders to return to Lasswade from Innerleithen viathe River Tweed and Gala valleys. Both routes then return to the High School over the Moorfoot Hills,
Each participant will be individually timed and the finishing times will be published on the Bethany website after the event. Feed and water stations will also be on hand.
Entries are limited to 400, with an entry fee of £36 for the Super Challenge and Challenge routes, £23 for the Taster Challenge. Early bird fees apply if you register before 31st December 2014.
