A L'ancienne - The Lakes Vintage Cycling Festival.

A L'ancienne (pronounced a-larnshon) meaning 'in the old way' is much more than just a sportive, it's a brilliant retro get together that will have you coming back for more.

It's based around a vintage street market and vintage car / motorcycle show in the centre of the South Lakes market town of Ulverston. With music, film, food, beer and a whole load of other stuff going on, it's a brilliant weekend for family and friends.

There's accommodation and festival camping nearby and we're even negotiating a cyclists hang out at one of the local pubs, with music and film,

The rides are brilliant, we have Le Loafeur at 50km, which is as easy as we can make it in the Lakes and suitable for historic bikes.

Le Trois Lacs is much more of an old school challenge, but well within the reach of any moderately fit rider.

Either way, they're stunning routes with fabulous scenery and great food!

There will be roving mechanical and first aid support plus a broom waggon.
