The 155km course was excellent, taking us through beautiful downland scenery, and of course the warm sunny September weather was a great bonus. The whole sportive was well organised, and all in all I'd say it's the best one I've done. A few suggestions to make it even better: I could find no water at the finish (in fact, if the finish had emulated the feed stations with provision of water, fruit and flapjacks that would have been good); it was a disappointment to discover that the free Eccles cake provided with the tea at the finish had a use-by date of 31 August(!); and I'd echo a previous reviewer's comment that toilet provision at the feedstations needs consideration, especially for the female participants (and it was nice to see a good number taking part).

Given that we are always being told by event organisers of the negative effect of riders relieving themselves in public, why were there no toilets at any off the stops, not such a problem for us guys but more off a problem for the ladies, which it was nice to see were well represented on this ride.

First class event. Very well organised, very nice route, very clearly sign posted, very well spaced and well stocked feed stations. Not much to add. I found the shortiish but very steep West Marsden (?) hill was toughest.

Very good event. Only tiny blemish was that the promised sale of energy bars at checkpoints did not transpire but that's only a small point that illustrates a high level of satisfaction with other features. Shame my buddies brand new Dura Ace wheel's bearing seized at 68 miles, unrepairable despite all attempts to do so.
