100 miles - Following the South Downs Way National Trail, the routes and tracks will take you and your mountain bike along the chalk escarpment and ridges of the South Downs. With breathtaking views along the entire route and a finish location right by the seafront in Eastbourne.
The mountain bike trails aren't too technical, but there are a lot of long, fast descents which need serious concentration. This mountain bike ride has been rated a Grade 5 for the 100 mile route. Coronary heart disease is the UK's single biggest killer. By funding cutting edge research, we are determined to put a stop to the damage heart disease causes. But we can't do so without your support. Your registration fee goes towards the cost of organising the event, but it's the money you raise that powers our life saving research. We're therefore asking all riders taking part in this year's event to raise a minimum of £100 in support of our work.
Completely planned, organised and managed by the British Heart Foundation, this event exists in order to raise funds for our life saving research. Research that will, one day, put a stop to the devastation caused by heart disease.
Creating an online fundraising page is the easiest way to raise money. It takes a few minutes to set up and a link can then be easily shared with your friends and family on social media and by email. Remember, you're taking part in an amazing challenge - people will want to support you.
