L'Ariégeoise Cyclosportive

An exceptional course via Pailheres and Plateau de Beille, the two over category Ariegoise climbs, puts it top of the List!
As well as the usual 3 courses (Ariegeoise, Montagnole and Passegade) L'Ariegoise XXL will be a truechallenge.
The Plateau de Beille was the star of the queen stage of the Pyrenees in July, crowned by the victory of Joaquim Rodriguez in front of the top names from the UCI world tour. Over the 16km of climb, cycling fans flooded the lopes to encourage the stars of the road. Catalon supporters were at the party with the victory of one of their own and many climbed the colossal bike ride a few hours before "Purito".
The Pailheres straddles both the Aude and the Ariege. During the last Tour de France, a certain Nairo Quintana passed to the head of the group; 2,001m of altitude known for its 'exceptional scenery' and the difficulty of its slopes, Pailheres joined "2000" to their name while participating in the "Cyclosportive of the Pyrenees".

No doubt that this course is going to be a favourite with cyclists who want to take up the challenge. The Ariegeoise XXL 2016 promises to be THE event of the cycling season with elevation gain of 4,378m with 2,466m being 'above category' spread over a 169km route in the Pyrenees.
