HotChillee is looking forward to an exciting year as it celebrates the tenth anniversary of its flagship event, The London-Paris. Held on the 20th to 23rd June 2013, The London-Paris has become a key event on the cycling calendar, taking place one week before the Tour de France.

In 2004 The London-Paris was born out of a desire to push both the physical and mental limits on a multi-stage ride with Tour length stages. 13 riders embarked on the challenge. Over the last ten years, The London-Paris has grown in size and intensity and is now known as the 'professional event for amateurs'. Since then 2,300 people have cycled The London-Paris, enjoying the unique experience. At the heart of the event is its charity partners, for whom it has raised millions. Today, 465 cycling enthusiasts, professionals, legends and celebrities all cycle in one of the six seeded pelotons, each with a professional support and logistics crew, including motorbike outriders, rolling road closures in France, lead vehicles and mechanical support.

Also present was current professional cyclist Magnus Backstedt, Paracycling double World Champion and Olympic team member Colin Lynch and professional German National mountain-biker Karl Platt - who's won the Trans Alp seven times and the ABSA Cape Epic four times. Formula One legend Nigel Mansell, Rugby Heroes Joel Stransky and Will Carling, former professional footballers Geoff Thomas and John Salako and former Olympic medallist and athletics World champion Sonia O'Sullivan all completed the 2012 edition. Fondriest will also ride in 2013 and will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of his World Road Champion win in 1988.

Sven Thiele, Founder of HotChillee and organiser of the first London-Paris in 2004 says: "It's incredible how far we've come. We effectively have six events on the road at the same time with 465 riders, supported by a crew of 200 plus. It makes the event hugely exciting for both crew and rider alike. Our objective is to continue creating exceptional multi-stage endurance experiences for all participants, helping them achieve their goals and push their boundaries."
