The Alpine Challenge is a 4 stage Alpine endurance event designed using the same formula as the famous LONDON-PARIS. Based out of the beautiful lakeside town of Annecy in the Savoie, the scenery and riding is breathtaking ... and testing with over 8,000m of climbing.
Riders enjoy the benefits of rolling road closures, motorbike outriders and lead vehicles, whilst riding in seeded groups commensurate with ability and supported by a professional crew including masseurs and a full mechanic team.
This event provides the opportunity to ride a series of mountain stages (approximately 110km per day) and 8,500m of climbing, and offers a Tour de France multi mountain stage experience. Following a stunning warm up ride around Lake Annecy on arrival, the events starts with a timed mountain Prologue which is used to seed riders into the appropriate groups. Thereafter comes 3 mountain stages follow scaling some of the famous Tour de France mountain stages such as the Cols des Aravis, Col de la Crox Fry, Semnoz and Col de la Forclaz.
Each day there is a flagged timed climb, the aggregate time determines the Leaders Jersey winners (male and female). Teams of 4 also compete for the Best Team award.
Specialist cycling events company, HotChillee have a world class reputation for professionalism and camaraderie. The HotChillee peloton combines amateur, professional and celebrity riders.
