Grab a deal when entering the Meon Valley Riser and New Forest Rattler. These two superb rides - managed by Cyclofanatic Events - are back for 2012 and the organisers are offering discounted places when riders book both events, with entry for each event costing as little as £19.50!
Cyclofanatic have also teamed up with the Wiggle Magnificat to offer even more discounts when entering all three events. Just what's needed when you look to plan your 2012 rides.
As always breakfast and lunch will be included as part of the entry fee. There will be jacket potatoes at the Riser and a BBQ at the Rattler serving local New Forest produce. Just what you need after a day in the saddle!
The Meon Valley Riser will set out from Boundary Oak School near Fareham on Sunday 1stApril. Improvements to the design of the courses and HQ means cyclists will benefit from this excellent spring challenge with Old Winchester Hill, Butser Hill and Stoner Hill to tackle on the way round. The Riser will provide a perfect opportunity to ride these climbs in preparation for the Wiggle Magnificat which takes place on Sunday 3rd June, Bank holiday weekend, at Newbury Racecourse.
The New Forest Rattler, now into its fourth year and ever expanding, will take place on Sunday 19 August. Set against the stunning backdrop of the New Forest National Park you can choose from one of two routes depending on what sort of challenge you are looking for - a shorter route of 47 miles or a more demanding 79 mile course.
New to the 2012 event will be the introduction of the 'Rattler Village' offering riders the opportunity to camp at the event HQ. Finding somewhere to stay in the New Forest can be difficult during the Summer months, so this option will be helpful for those of you who like to crash out under the canvas and also meet your fellow riders in advance.
What our riders have said:
'Just thought would drop you a note to say thanks for a great day - organisation was excellent and the routes were superbly thought out. To have routes that took in such little amounts of main roads was brilliant - especially some of the climbs - being away from traffic when you are struggling (which I was) makes it much more enjoyable - it is no mean feat to map a route this long and avoid busy roads!' Gareth, 2011 Riser rider
'Thanks for yesterday's excellent Rattler - very well organised; wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, well marked out course, well stocked feed stations - all in the picturesque New Forest setting - what a way to spend a Sunday - bring on next year!' Ian, 2011 Rattler rider
