Cycle A Difference - Vietnam with Mike Hall and Juliana Buhring

Cycle a difference is a unique cycling challenge across Vietnam; the event is set to last for 14 days and begins on 14th May 2013. The event has a multi-day cyclosportive format and raises funds for charity that helps Newborn Babies in Vietnam.
A Once In A Lifetime Experience
World Cycle Racing Grand Tour winner Mike Hall will be riding the event, he brings his great depth of knowledge and experience to help and motivate participants. Hall’s record braking round the world ride took only 91 days and 18 hours covering an unbelievable 18,175 miles, that’s a fraction under 200 miles a day.

Another long distance cycling star to join the ride is Juliana Buhring, who is the first and fastest woman to cycle solo around the world, her attempt started in Naples, Italy in summer 2012 and finished 152 days later at the start point.

This is a unique chance for participants to ride with both Hall and Buhring, a once in a life time opportunity to learn about the ups and downs of riding around the world. The event will cover around 85 miles per day for ten days, giving a total of 850 miles; the trip is a chance to experience a vibrant and exciting country to the max with strategic acclimatisation and rest days. The trip starts out in Hanoi and makes its way south through the country where it finishes ultimately in Hoi An, the route hugs the coastline as it head south, in between the Cambodian border and the South China Sea.

Cycle A Difference raises funds for Newborns Vietnam, Newborns Vietnam is a UK registered charity dedicated to reducing neonatal mortality in South East Asia.
Newborns Vietnam works in partnership with local health and pediatric departments in Vietnam to develop long-term sustainable solutions to support the reduction of newborn deaths, develop the skills and capacity of staff to raise the standard of care, and provide basic life saving equipment. All Money Raised Goes To Help New Born Babies
Cycle a difference are supporting a long-term project at the Da Nang Hospital for Women & Children’s to develop a comprehensive sustainable model of newborn care that can be replicated across Vietnam. There are many ways that you can support the work to advance newborn care and give every baby the chance to Survive to Thrive. There is a range of fundraising activities with which you can get involved. Your donation will support the vital work to help prevent needless newborn deaths, advance neonatal care and give more newborns in Vietnam a chance to Survive to Thrive.
