Kilo To Go Launch Two New Events

by Henry Peacock

KiloToGo organisers of a large range of UK events such as the Cheshire cat have today announced their launch of two entirely new events to add to the cyclosportive calendar. All those hard earned cold winter road miles and insufferable indoor trainer hours will be put to good use.

The Wiggle Yorkshire Weaver on Sunday 12th May has been developed in collaboration with Yorkshire’s Craven District Council that was firmly behind the Tour de France bid. Set totally within Yorkshire - with two challenging route options, iconic climbs and picturesque scenery from the first to last pedal stroke. The routes start and finish in the beautiful Aireville Park in the Yorkshire mill town of Skipton. Be assured, this is no ordinary sportive bike ride – we’ve designed routes that show off the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, and take you past some of Yorkshire’s magnificent woollen mill towns.

The Wiggle Essex Explorer on Sunday 19th May has some great countryside to explore by bike right on North-East London’s doorstep. Heading out from the Brentwood HQ and you might not realise you’re so close to the hurly-burly of the City of London. Lord Sugar, Mark Cavendish and Ford Europe all have homes right here in rural Essex. The area isn’t known for being particularly hilly but Essex isn’t completely flat either. Rural mid-Essex provides the opportunity to test out your cadence stamina combined with some climbing that will still enable you to maintain a good average speed. This is an opportunity to let loose with some of those larger gear ratios, after all cycling isn’t just about hills.
