Very hot weather - distance from 1st to second fuel stop way too long on the magnificat, then stations every 10 miles at the end. Other than that, superb

Overall great event but much like the previous year the weather was not the best. This is a very local sportive to me so know the course quite well. I think the course could maybe be slightly altered to avoid some very badly potholed lanes especially around Inkpen common and Upper Green (just before Walbury Hill). Lost count of the amount of people repairing punctures, just when I was thanking my lucky stars not to be one of them I found myself joining them. If you completed any of the rides with no punctures then you will have done very well. All that aside the route is very undulating, there are some tough hills and it's a great challenge. Did the intercat this year. Will be doing it again next year and hope that the weather is a little better. Everything about the ride was very well organised and the food stops were well placed and well stocked.

Great location for the start and finish, well marshalled into beautiful open countryside and Hants villages bedecked with Jubilee bunting!

2nd Time on the Intercat. Weather poor both times, but an excellent event, good facilities, challenging route. Hopefully third time lucky next year in respect of weather...

The weather was typically British, which made for plenty of punctures. I'd think twice about doing the course again in bad weather, but if it's sunny next year I'll definitely be back. The course was beautiful and there were some stunning views I couldn't appreciate fully in the rain

An enjoyable event, and I can't be unhappy with a gold-standard time, can I. But I can't help feeling there was something missing this year. The atmosphere seemed a bit downbeat, and there was less laid on at the Racecourse. I'll be back next year, naturally - but I'll have my fingers crossed for better weather. The organisers are really trying to create a wonderful event here, and nature just isn't helping.

This was an exceptionally well organised event, the sign posting was the best i have seen anywhere. The only slight negative for me was that the first drink stop was at 32 miles, i would have preferred one a little earlier, on the plus side, the Hannington food stop was the nicest, friendliest and comfiest stop i have come across and the nice hot tea on a very wet miserable day was very welcome.

Great job, thanks.

Great event.... but make sure you have good quality puncture resistant tyres as if weather is bad lots of flints get washed onto country lanes!!

Great organisation, lovely route, impressive starting area, good foodstops with enthusiastic, very friendly volunteers. The only problem is the local geology. For many riders their memory of this will be tainted by the number of punctures they had caused by flint washed onto the lanes. I saw no marshals on the route as I understand they were tied up with riders punctures who had run out of inner tubes. I punctured four times. I hear other punctured more ( I was riding Continental 4 seasons). Despite the punctures I enjoyed all 130 miles ( one missing sign ) but I might think twice about doing this again as the time taken up fixing the punctures made this a very long day.

Another great event, when will the organiser get a break and have some decent weather. This is a Sportive that should be in the diary every year,

My first sportive, not as fun as it should have been given the truly awful weather, but well organised. I was impressed and will be back next year!

This is my second year riding at the magnificat and I am impressed again by the route, signage and organisation. I am less impressed by a second year of attrocious weather.

Good event, well organised, excellent venue, good course. Pity about the weather, the organisers and us riders deserved better!

Appalling conditions dampened the atmosphere somewhat, I felt: but all the more thanks, therefore, to the organisers for putting on such a good event.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who gave up there Sunday on such a terrible day. The feed station were great, really well stocked, however the biggest let down especially on such a cold awful day was not food and drink at the end.

Well done Ken and Barbara. You and your team did another great job! I'm very surprised to see some of the negative comments on here. Some of them are ridiculous. That said, the good outweighs the bad, so that's the main thing!
Crikey, it was a wet one wasn't it! I don't think I've ever cycled in such constant rain.
I shall be back again next year!
Cheers

Best Sprotive we have ridden this year. Well organised; excellent facilities and a lovely route. Maybe 1 more feed stop (on the 81 mile course) would have been useful - The Wiggle series have just about got it right (bananas, flapjacks, water, High5 and jellybeans!), at the right distances. The racecourse makes an ideal start/finish location.

Brilliant. A great ride with superb support, especially the motorbike support guys making sure we got through the iffy bits. Fantastic route & signing. They even managed to arrange some decent weather. More please.

Best sportive I have ridden this year. Great signs, food, course, day. 204.5km is a really good test and feel it has set me up for the summer now. Great job to the organisers and people on the course.
