I just want to respond to some previous comments...
We fully appreciate the importance of feed stations and we are aware that one or two people missed the second stop; it was pretty well signed but the actual tables etc. were not visible from the road. We will improve the visibility and signage next time for all feed stations.
A couple of people praised UKCE for the management of the event - We'll take that as a complement because we do acknowledge them as leaders in Sportive management, but they were not involved in the GSD Giant. It was all organised and managed by volunteer staff.
The routes for 2015 have changed because we have moved the event HQ to Petersfield. We've tried to steer away from busy roads, but sometimes its just not possible to avoid them.

This was my second time taking part in this event. Good weather, nice route, although a tiny bit changed from the one on website, feed stops... well, i had enough food with me but it was warmer then most of us expected and i specifically checked event information where the feed stops will be and planned to stop on second feed to get some water (if i needed some).. I never saw it. First feed stop well organized and visible, second - never seen it and i ask some people around - no one seen it. Disappointing. Specially because sportive cost a lot, okay this is small event but i took part in similar small events before - paid less and got more out of it. Not sure i ll take part again.

I had an unfortunate coming together with a car which ruined my time (my group were well on the way to a gold time), so I will be coming back next summer to settle the score between me and that gold!

I have ridden sportive events in the South for over 8 years and the better ones have refined their routes to avoid anything other than a couple of 100 metres on busier high speed roads. There have been too many unnecessary acidents when large numbers of cyclists and drivers come together.
Otherwise this was the usual high standards of the UKCE with very god signage.

Great event. A friendly atmosphere, superb course with great scenery. Helpful people at rest stops, which were well equipped. I would definitely ride this event again.

A very well organised event in beautiful countryside. There was a timing issue but it was satisfactorily sorted in good time.

Positives
* Pre event information good.Registration , parking and start processes - very straight forward
* Signs, marking of potholes etc generally well done , making up for one or two rough road surfaces
* Route was excellent , the busier main road sections were mainly downhill and therefore traffic was never an issue, the country lanes were very quiet and made for a really enjoyable ride.
* Feed station well stocked and just what was needed.
* Order the same weather every year and it will be a roaring success!
* Great hills- when you look back a few days after the event !

Areas for improvement
* The first feed stop was a little cramped for space and difficult for supporters to get too, I guess this was so the village hall facilities could be used and appreciate this is not that easy to plan, - not sure what the alternative would be either.
* The balance between the event being primarily a good cycle ride and a charity event was good, but possible the charity aspect was a little understated. I am not sure how successful the event is in fundraising and awareness for AGSD, but I for one would not have been offended by a higher charity presence or fund raising activity.

Can't comment on support and outriders, as didn't notice them. Maybe they passed me, but I really wouldn't know. I had a fantastic day, though, amazing scenery, signage, company and feed stations. Would definitely recommend.

Great fun! Easy arrival, registration and start. Good signage all the way. Varied route kept it interesting. Finishing on a hill was 'interesting'! I need to practice hills a lot more! Real shame there wasn't more folk - they missed out in a great event.

Only slight down, and personal opinion is that I'm not fond of burger van would prefer something else but hey world didn't stop spinning! ;-)

Will happily support this again. Thanks!

This was my fifth sportive this year and by far the best. Great support and the signage, no chance of getting lost.
I rode the giant, my only regret was that more people weren't out.
Ill organise and ride with a group next year.

Nice touch putting the finish on top of a hill!

Demon Route - Excellent sportive. Thoroughly enjoyable and well thought out. Route interesting and varied. Enough hills to make it feel like an achievement, but not too much to be a slog. Signage was particularly good throughout with only a slight confusion on the route at the finish. I would certainly do again.

Organised well by UK Cycling Events, as always. Shame the turnout wasn't better, as it was for a great cause.

Nice to ride a sportive close to home. We will be back next year.
