I have done many Sportives and this rates amongst the best I have ever done due to the Fool's Choices (cyclo-cross style short cuts). Due to the dry conditions these shortcuts were as good as tarmac and it was fun dodging the ruts made by the 4x4's with bunny hopping taking on a new meaning on my roadie. Glorious weather and amazing scenery made it even more memorable and Martin and his team did yet another outstanding job of keeping us informed, fed/watered and smiling!!!

Really lovely scenic event. Due to a snapped gear cable I ended up with only three gears and had to miss three of the Jokers but as the rest of the event was so good I'll have to go back and beat them next year! :) I really liked the novelty value of the extra challenges too - as I've done a lot of sportives and it makes a nice change to have something a bit different.

This is a really good, fun but tough event. To have optional challenges with fun cards to collect to prove you did them was well thought out for April Fool's Day. However have to say the challenges were not as tough as some of the other energy sapping climbs.
Route really scenic and lovely once the cold chill subsided.
I have some gripes.I did not receive the information email one week before the event as promised and chased twice but no reply. The start times changed from those published as they were delayed by 1/2 an hour without warning. Also payment online subject to transaction fee, I hate that!
Overall really friendly people, though timing was old hat rather than new methods being adopted by most other sportives. Dangly chip fixed to your front wheel. Hats off to the rider riding around as a Joker!!!!
Really really enjoyed the day despite the above. Many many thanks to all involved, proud to have done the first Joker on April 1st.
