The John "TOMMO" Thompson Memorial Ride

The John "TOMMO" Thompson Memorial Ride is back for 2016 with a brand new start venue from the beautiful village of Meerbrook nr Leek. A new shorter, 'punchier' style route (but no less tough) provides a fresh road biking challenge in and around the south west of the Peak District National Park - the long route for 2016 is 75km/47miles in length but still with 1575m/5167ft of ascent whilst the short route option comes in at 36km/22miles with about 643m/2110ft of climb.

As with all D&W sportives our aim is to provide a route very high on quality (scenery, beautiful villages, quiet lanes) and low on busy/dangerous/noisy main roads.

A fully comprehensive pre-event road book will be published approx 2 months before the event.
