We've learnt a lot from our first Á L'ancienne in 2014. Now we ready to deliver something special. We're creating a weekend of cycling times gone by. A time when things were simple. We're creating an event where traditional Lake District fun, friendship and amazing rides are all that matter. So join us!

Vintage fair.
Cycle market and cycle jumble.

Traditional music festival in the town centre from Furness Tradition.

We've managed to improve the routes and keep down the price by having a core route with extra loops which you can choose on the day. All we ask is that you let us know which distance you think you will do when you book - this will help us to plan.
Le Loafeur 22km The Fun Route (no route switching on this one.)
A short route for the civilized rider. Perfect if you have a really historic bike, or prefer an easy life! With a break for lunch half way! Warning may contain hills! No medals, loafeurs don't chase medals!
Le Coeur (The Core / Heart) 60km + 969m / 38m + 3200ft Four Road Book Stamps
An iconic Lake District route taking in Coniston, Hawkshead Hill, Hawkshead and some climbs known only to locals! Two Food Stops.
Le Trois Lacs (The Windermere Loop) + 20km + 230m / + 12m + 760ft +1 Road Book Stamp
Travel north from the top of Hawkshead Hill; take in the fabulous Wray Castle and 10km of good quality gravel road along the shore of Windermere; the largest lake in England. Two food stops.
Le Sting + 3km + 155m / +12m + 452ft +1 Road book Stamps
A high point close to the end for the final gold medal stamp and some iconic coastal views. Gold medals will be earned! Two food stops.
