The Tour of Essex features a 42, 72, and 110 mile choice of routes that utilise many of the same spectacular roads as a famous bike race that went through her in 2014.
These immaculate surfaces will get your wheels spinning making for an impressive average speed.
Our event HQ is the prestigious Redbridge Cycling Centre - the raised location of the land in this part of essex gives you a stunning view of the City of London while still being surrounded by the peace of the countryside.
The Tour de Essex offers three stunning routes that head out North East from Redbridge Cycling Centrento the quiet, well kept roads of rural essex. All routes take in stunning scenery that are extremely popular amongst local cyclists due to the variety of terrain on offer - as both routes take on hills such as Hoe Lane, as well as offering flatter sections for those looking to get their average speed up.
After a 1 km lap of the track, the 108 miler goes out through scenic villages such as Doddinghurst, Willingale, Good Easter and then doing a large loop east following some of the roads of this years Tour De France, before heading west towards High Roding. It then heads south towards Hatfield Heath before Epping and Toot Hill and then finally all routes have to climb Hoe Lane at 6 miles to go before a final lap of the 1 km circuit.
The 72&42 miler follows this same route up until 21 miles - where it cuts off west to rejoin the full route at the feed station in Moreton (where Le Tour also passed through.)
Feed stops are located in picturesque villages, if any of you participated in the recent Hertfordshire 100, you'll know how famous our feed stations have become!
