For the first time in an event I suffered a major mechanical, freehub failure. The team managed to get someone out to collect us and ship our tandem back home which was fantastic so whilst we were a DNF we still had a fine day out.

Only one criticism - its very well flagged and you get told in advance so no surprises, but I would prefer not to take on the descent of Tow Top again.
