'Much in Little' (Multum in Parvo - Rutland's motto) is the perfect way to describe the route for the rides this year! The Welland (Harringworth) Viaduct features on KILOTOGO's (KTG) routes this year allowing you to mavel at each of the 82 arches along it's 1.17km length. New HQ too!
The event has moved to Elton Hall, just to the south west of Peterborough, with plenty of on-site parking; with the Hall providing a lovely backdrop to the event. There are 3 new routes to choose from across an undulating terrain of long, gradual climbs that include the climb out of Harringworth and then a different climb back into Harringworth on your return. All routes also take on the Launde Abbey climb this year too. To see where the routes go, feed station positions and climbs - Take a look at the route summary information (URL: http://bit.ly/1P3tAyT).
At KTG's events, you receive your rider pack with your timing chip in the post prior to the event so that you can just come along to start line when you are ready - no registration delays or queues! With feed stations roughly every 25 miles providing a selection of cakes, sandwiches and pork pies (riders can't get enough of these further along the route!), as well as HIGH5 Sports Nutrition gels, bars and sports drink. Riders are videoed crossing the finish line, and their ride time is SMSed to their mobile phone. Then if you fancy a quick massage, the physio team are on-hand. All riders receive a cotton T-shirt, finisher's medal and goody bag.
