My first coast to coast and I had an amazing day. The whole event is just fantastic. Every member of your team was so encouraging and friendly. It is a must do event for cyclists. The whole thing was made even better by the great weather. Thank you

brilliabt day and event again (rode it last year ). My only slight crirtism is at the feed stations and no paper plates to put food on and this meant people eating food from their hand as they went down the queue.

A wonderful event. Great people, very friendly, superb arrangements. I would encourage anyone to consider entering. The entry-management process could be improved a bit - the software is very clunky and confusing, especially for groups - but it was worth enduring that to participate in such a memorable event.

Brilliant event. One suggestion for the feed stops would be more seating areas.

Persuaded to sign up for this event by my son - and I'm glad I did. Fantastic day, very enjoyable, very well organised (don't do many sportives any more because got fed up with poorly run events), friendly atmosphere, great route through challenging and beautiful countryside, the rain held off - and photos freely accessible. Hard Knott Pass is also the hardest sustained climb I've done in UK, felt great cycling all the way to the top - a route, and a challenge, to savour.

All in all a great event. the feed at Kendal was extremely, long queues for water and food caused by the bunching at the ferry, other feeds great as the bunching had broken up. Great friendly/helpful marshals, Great choice of food, pork pies a real favourite ! We cycled as a group with mixed abilities and it was a challenge for us all, mind you we did start the ride in Whitby Fri morning,C2C2C not bad for a wkend. Maybe run that next year? Thank you all, much fun!

Having taken part in many events in the past few years, this one is undoubtedly the best organised I have been on yet and the route was spectacular. Yes there were crowds at early feedstations, but with >800 riders that's to be expected. Everything went very smoothly and the facilites were organised to perfection. Hard to find fault. I'm definitely booking with them again!!

One signed turn was poorly signed (after second stop). Provision for bike parking at feedstops could be improved - use scaffold poles and tripods to rack up bikes?

The communication leading up to the day, on the day & afterwards has been excellent.

This was a brilliant ride. Gorgeous scenery, nice people, great food (the coffee was especially appreciated), good mix of hills and flat, great support. Overall the best sportive I have done in a very long time. Well done Open Cycling. Small comments: Hardknot pass is impossible (30% gradient!) for anyone but the strongest cyclist; on such a long ride this is maybe one to avoid. The wrist timing dongles were a bit weird and took time to get read. Any chance of an induction loop type thing such as they use in running events that automatically times you across a mat?

Great route and it relies on good signage as with such a distance means you can't post marshals on every junction. The emails emphasise this is one for those well prepared. The feed stations were great and staffing friendly and supportive. They stayed up till 2.15 a.m for the last stragglers which says a lot. Not for the faint hearted !

What a fantastic day - the organisation was excellent, the course and scenery were stunning, the weather ideal and the support at feed stations was brilliant. To finish in the sunshine on the front in Whitby to a cheering crowd rounded off a wonderful day and this was followed by a well earned 99 with flake!! I'll be back.

Outstanding event, very smoothly organised with very friendly staff. For future events some triathlon style rails for racking bikes would be very helpful where space allows at feed stations. Also I would hope you can provide a suitable guilt trip to anyone who feels it is appropriate to litter the countryside with gel wrappers, I can't believe how inconsiderate some people can be! Looking forward to Wales in a day and I'll be hovering over my keyboard on Monday to sign up for next year. Thank you all.

If I could give it 11 out of 10 for the Course and Professionalism/Friendliness I would do.
This was the best organised sportive I've ever done with a great atmosphere.
