Very well-run camp, with excellent staff. Benefitted greatly from their advice and support, learnt a lot, the scenery was amazing, and we really tested ourselves. Bellever Youth Hostel was a great location in most ways, but I found the sleeping challenging! Wonderful company in our very compact room for six, but having a snorer above me was tiring. I would gladly pay more for a room on my own.... Interested to know what options there might be for next year.

An exceptional week's riding that I have already recommended to others. Youth hostel facilities were basic but ticked all other boxes in terms of location/space.

The professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm of the staff cannot be faulted. Everybody ,no matter what their cycling ability, improved during the week by a huge amount. Being assessed and grouped meant that everyone was pushed to achieve their best without ever feeling out of their depth. The Dartmoor countryside provided a challenge for everyone - different hills selected for different groups. By the end of the week we all felt that there were not many hills that we would not be able to take on! Everybody attending the camp bonded within days and the atmosphere over the entire week was one of friendliness, encouragement and a bit of banter! I would recommend Dartmoor Cycle Training Camp. Experienced or new to Road Cycling this camp will push you to achieve, and achieve you will. THANK YOU, Stewart, Paul, Mark and Roy.

This course changed my approach to riding sportives. The rides were challenging but provided me with the skills and knowledge to ride the Dartmoor Demon with confidence.

The main objective of the camp was to prepare myself for a London - Paris charity ride and general cycling improvement.
My cycling has leapt forward in levels i would never have expected, not just fitness but the following key areas; Pedalling techniques, hill climbing tactics, balance, nutrition and hydration, recovery and stretching and most effective tool, training within heart rate zones.
This combined has gave me great confidence to ride consecutive days especially important for London-Paris.
I have also now booked far longer distance sportives with considerably more climbing. this would not have happened had it not been for the training received.
I rode in my first chain gang ride with my local club and my average speed has jumped from 14.5 mph to 18.9 mph !

Dartmoor Training Camp was efficiently and professionally organized, with three groups according to ability and experience. It did just what is said it would and pitched seminars to accommodate all.
If possible perhaps offering options for alternative accommodations in a local B&B would have been more suitable for some of the participants.

A fantastic event, well organised and very well run in every way. The team were exceptionally knowledgeable, helpful and friendly providing just the right amount of support, encouragement and guidance. The whole 'week' was well structured and adapted to fit the needed of different abilities giving sufficient challenge for everyone. The structure allowed time for socializing and mixing but there was always enough to do, seminars to attend and so on. If you are looking to gain some new insight into training, build a bit of fitness, meet interesting people, do some great rides and feel supported though the whole process then this camp is for you. The only point is accommodation. Youth Hostels are, well, youth hostels and the full on communal living, bunk beds and shared rooms is not for everyone - but the food was great and if you are prepared to just get on with it......
