My first sportive. Superb route, well signed, and a great atmosphere. Will do it again for sure.

I thought it was a great day, well organised. It was absolutely the right decision to cancel the 1st date. I look forward to doing it again next year, even Whitedown.

A long hard ride with a pesky White Hill close to the end. Very well organised and maanged. A bold byut wise decision to cancell the initail date and move the eventy back 3 weeks. Well done.

Route was ok but some of the roads had very poor surfaces and the southern part of the route is pretty dull. The map was slightly out - it showed the Ranmore loop in the opposite direction to the route arrows. And the feed stations on the std route were not as marked - when you're on your knees, it matters! I know catering for a large number of riders is hard, but how about a cup of tea rather than energy drink or plain water.

Overall, event was ok. One final thought - why are all the UKCE road sportives on Sundays? Saturdays have a lot going for them (traffic excepted).

A really great morning out on the Fun route (though not sure 3500 ft of climbing is really 'fun'). Looking forward to my next event.

FAB event. Really enjoyed it. I live in the area but having only been riding for less than a year, I am still finding new routes so some of this route was a surprise! I rode the Fun route and was a bit grumpy when the food station was about 4 miles further than my map said it was ... that said- it was a welcome and friendly break on the way up to Coldharbour.
See you all in June for the Surrey-Sussex Scramble.

Firstly - well done to the organisers for showing excellent judgement in cancelling the original event, and the efficient manner in which this was done. I live locally - and appreciated the phone call, text and e-mail on the day and the warnings in the lead up to the event.
I completed the Epic event - and have a medal to prove it ! ! ! !
This was my third sportive in three weeks in my quest to train for the etape du tour (http://gavsetape.blogspot.co.uk/) the turning of the hurt screws at 70 miles-ish was just what I needed to test my resolve and fortitude. White Down at the end of a long day is enough to break anyone let alone after Leith Hill - thanks for the pain.
I did lost eleven minutes at feed station 2 while they re-stocked the drink - this ultimately cost me a gold - but that's life.
I also skipped the bike cleaning as it appeared the water had run out there too - guess the quick boys and girls beat me to it - dont worry though - cos I more than made up for it round the course with flapjacks.
Already planning my next sportive and the Mega Meon looks like a candidate - thanks again.

I thought this was an excellent event. The course signage was extremely good, the feed stations were well stocked and nicely positioned on the Standard route, and the staff were very friendly throughout. The MaxiFuel race pack was also a nice touch. It would have been nice if the finishers medal was more specific to the Ups and Downs event rather than a generic Super Series one, but with all their different sportives, i can see why Wiggle went for a universal option!

I also thought Wiggle handled the re-scheduling of the event very well. all in all, a great day and I'll definitely be back.

Brilliant ride and route, like the motivational comments signs more would be nice, plenty of caution signs which is good.
I felt the road surface seemed better this year.

Once again a really well organised event. The second food stop on the standard did seem a long time coming but I can see now why you sited it here in the context of the whole ride.

Thanks for rescheduling this event after the April storms. I'll be back for another ride with UKCE - thoroughly enjoyable, great route and very professionally organised.

Another good event, really well organised as ever by UKCE. Signage was excellent & there was no need for a GPS or map - given that the number of other events on today, that was no mean feat. Spent about 10 miles in the second half of this one wondering if I'd missed the second feed on the Standard route, but there it was, 10 miles from the finish. I could probably have done with it a few miles earlier, but then again it was a nice reward at the top of Leith Hill (I say "top" there was still that lovely bonus climb before we dropped into Abinger) & a good energy boost ahead of White Down. Scenery was good (not quite as epic at the Beast last week, but the N Downs are great riding!). Great stuff - I'll be back for more.
