A new sportive to replace the Marie Curie Etape Pennines which has been cancelled for 2015. The Roof of England Sportive is set to take place on Sunday 30 August 2015, with three courses on offer including a 90-mile route named 'The Winking Sheep' which features an eye-watering 2,750m of climbing. Two further routes, The Durham Dales (53 miles) and The Short Course (31 miles) are also planned for the sportive, which is based in the village of St John's Chapel in County Durham.
