Last weekend saw the inaugural edition of Wales in a Day - a 190-mile sportive that takes riders from one end of Wales to the other. The event, run by Open Cycling (organisers of Coast to Coast in a Day), starts in Caernarfon and finishes in Chepstow after 4,500m of climbing along the way!

After the event, Open Cycling sent out the following:

"We could rabbit on as to how wonderful this event was and that it should be on your calendar for 2016. But not sure words will really suffice. Just take a minute or two to scroll through the pictures to see what happened in Wales last weekend."
