Raymond and the team could not be more supportive and welcoming. The event is extremely well organised and very good value. My only criticism is that the final feed stop on the 2nd day didn't exist. I think this was because there were some slower riders in one of the other groups and my group and the fast group ended up ahead of the support vehicles. I did the event 2 years ago and this was not a problem so I think we were just unlucky this year.

I was really impressed with the work that Raymond and his team put in to run this fantastic event. It is the toughest ride I have done so far but it was fabulous.

Easily the best sportive I have had the pleasure to ride. Extremely friendly people, a stunning route, exceptional feedstops and support. The only event I could consider doing repeatedly.

An excellent event with a great "reliability-ride" format made the two days and the distances very achievable. Great team spirit in the selected groups and team effort to get everyone round. Fantastic mechanical and technical support as well as feed stops with everything you could want to keep you energised.

This is the third time I have done this event and it was the best yet (helped by excellent weather on the second day). The route is excellent and the support outstanding, this year complemented by a mechanics crew from Cyclewise (local cycling shop at Whinlatter). It isn't a race or a sportive, but a group ride with different ability groups and this adds to the event as the emphasis is on getting everyone round, rather than beating a particular time. It's amazing value, £90 gets you: fully supported ride for two days; overnight dinner bed and breakfast in youth hostel; cycle top; and proper meal at the end of the event. Truly superb and a great credit to Raymond Paterson and the organisers for putting on a fantastic event.

This is not a normal sportive there is no timing it's all about the social side of cycling. You do need to prepare properly otherwise it will effect your enjoyment. Feed stops are excellent well stocked with a huge variety and as you are not watching the clock you can relax while you munch and catch with riders in the other groups. This is the 2nd year I have ridden and it just gets better this year there was massage and back from cycle wise a lbs based at whinlatter and followed the whole route providing roadside repairs and spent many hours in the evening sorting any issues. For £90 you get back up excellent feed stops bed & breakfast evening meal, jersey and carvery meal on completion. You start as group and finish as a group and get to chat and make friends this is an event you will never forget. Just ride it

It's not often I'd give full marks but this event definately deserves it - it really is in a league of its own. A great route, great organisation and the friendliest bunch of people you could hope to meet - cycling doesn't get much better than this.

If you want to do something different to your standard Sportives, enjoy great company, like to see stunning views and also challenge yourself then this is the event for you. I entered the event not knowing any of the others riders but that changes very quickly once you set off, the encouragement and camaraderie is second to none. Don't think about it, just enter, for £90 it's a bargain.

The best organised and most enjoyable ride ever, a fantastic event that is beyond another ride you will do. A complete unique twist on the sportive theme were group riding and comaraderie is valued over the fastest time. Spanning over two days there's nothing like it.

The CCWay is a very well organised and very friendly event I can only recommend to any ambitious rider. The distance looks intimidating but it does not feel that long since it is a group ride.

A fantastic two days cycling in Cumbria. Superbly organised and ably supported by Cyclewise. Unlimited well stocked feed stops with a great variety. The police escort for the final 2miles to waiting family and friends just topped off a truly great weekend. Roll on next year!
