The LAKELAND CLASSICS is a series of three events - you can enter them all and get your overall time for the three events, or enter just one of them. THIS event is the climber's classic and will challenge the best of you! There is a shorter route option for those who prefer it.
Set in classic Lakeland mountain terrain the long route takes in 10 classic climbs in just 91 miles, going through iconic scenery from the heart of the Lake District out to the west coast and then circling back. The short route doesn't pull any punches and still has in it 4 epic climbs in 51 miles.
This sportive challenges you mentally as well as physically as you ride roads which are as challenging as the UK has to offer. However, you are also meandering through some of the most stunning scenery too. This event is going to leave you uplifted and invigorated - if a little tired in the legs!
The final event in the LAKELAND CLASSICS SERIES is The Ride of the Fallen Leaves on 26th October, a English take on the Tour of Lombardy totalling 61 miles.
