The Cobbler Classic starts from the conveniently located and well equipped Towcester Racecourse.
The Cobbler Classic which gets it's name from the famous shoemaking industry of Northamptonshire is based on quiet picturesque roads.
This cracking early season sportive is made up of rolling hills and can be described as flowing allowing riders to keep a good pace. There are no significant hills, making this an extremely safe, all weather course.
The route heads in an anti-clockwise direction sweeping through stunning villages lined with Limestone houses and elegant Churches. Between the endless miles of quiet roads there are constant points of interest dotted along the route. Highlights include passing several National Trust sites and points of interest, including: Silverstone Motor Racing Circuit, Stowe Park, Canons Ashby Abbey, Litchborough House and Boddington Reservoir.
This course is suitable for all riders, and with 3 routes to choose from (Epic 81 miles; Standard 65 miles & Short 38 miles) it is a perfect event to get you back on your bike and get some good early season miles under your belt!
