Good to see more women riding, I did the medium route this time. Last year's 100 was great but my training has dropped off a little since then.

Feedstations even better this year and the arrows couldn't be faulted. I signed up quite late on the day and unfortunately there were no timing chips left. Other than that a really brilliant day!

Great ride at the weekend - had the weather on our side and the organisation of the event was spot on. Feed stops and friendliness of the staff couldn't be faulted. Great route and the signage has to be one of the best I've ever attended!

Beautiful day for a long ride, I've ridden around Hertfordshire for years and I've never seen some of those roads, they were fantastic!

The only problem I had with the whole day was that the line at the registration was a little bit long, I stood there for about 10 minutes I would have liked to have gone through sooner. Still a small price to pay for such a well run, well marked sportive.

Also it was superb value for money, nearly half the price of the equivelant wiggle event.

I always hate entering an event through the British Cycling Website, other than that the Hertfordshire 100 was well run, fantastic signage - probably the best I've seen and great feedstops.

Well apart from the spectacular views and glorious weather,, safety is paramount to all riders and be it a good pre event safety briefing there should had been at least a few marshals on route to warn riders of potential dangers and strategic turns as at least 20 of us missed a arrow at a junction and ended up do a extra 14 miles more ,, mind you nice day for it.. please dont make this another sportive on the cheap, sorry guys,, only a bt of constructive criticism,,

The sportive was great fun.The majority of the route ran through stunning countryside and was most enjoyable, even the occasional flooded road did nothing to dampen the general 'good times' atmosphere. Sadly there did seem to a lot of tire and tube problems, largely due to grit washed onto the roads by the previous night's torrential rain storms, (our group of three had 2 flats between us). I have to admit that the final few miles through "little Switzerland" really knocked the stuffing out of me, pushing my average time back from 16 to 14mph but even so it was an excellent sportive.... and raisin cake at the feed stops? Brilliant!

Never ridden in this area before and it was a great revelation. The countryside is pleasant, even lovely, if not quite stunning, and very quiet considering the proximity to London. Continual rolling hills, with great views, and good if heavy road surfaces. Lovely villages and some great pubs to be resisted all around the course. The event was a neat introduction to the area, and I plan on being back again!
