Some excellent banter with other riders, marshalls and the general public.
The marshalls deserve special mention for the fantastic job that they did; it must have been an extremely long day for them but their dedication, guidance and advice was hugely appreciated.
Well done to all of the organisers; it must be a massive undertaking but the popularity of the event does indicate how successful it is.

As a slower rider who usually gets tailed off in the smaller events it was great to ride with lots of others of a similar standard, due to the size of the field. Where did they get those flapjacks from!? (Address please, georgeous). Despite the numbers at the feedstation the organisation was so good bottle filling and restocking on food was a doddle. the ride back from Princetown must rate as one of the best ever, nice climbs, fantastic descents excellent views, I didn't feel tired and got a surprising time at the finish. Ii'll be back

I have ridden many sportives and I can honestly say that the Mid Devon Cycle Club do a first rate job of organising this ride. It is better organised and marshalled than many commercial and 'professionally' organised events.

I was very nervous at the start as I had never entered a sportive before, but I loved it from the first lung sapping hill to the dramatic ten miles down the Teign Valley to the finish. My food stop score is a little unfair as I didnt really need anything there just to top up my water botles. But everyone I came across was friendly and helpful, will I do it again, count me in for the 100 miler next time!

The whole event was incredibly well organized, and I genuinely can't think of any ways in which I could recommend improving it. The skills and dedication of the organizers were highlighted for me prior to the start when it emerged that forces of nature meant a road was closed/blocked on the course. The riders were kept well informed, and after a minimal delay the transition to the adjusted route was seemless for the riders. Extremely well marshalled, plenty of mechanical assistance, superb feed stops - all from friendly and encouraging people.

Absolutely fantastic event. Was my first sportive (did the 65 miler) but rode with experienced friend. Huge thank yo to the many stewards at the start/finish and out on the course - all efficient and friendly. Had not been expecting such good food at the feeding station and the amount of food/drink there and at the end , plus all the freebies, surely exceeded the entry fee!! Great course although 2 of the hill climbs in first half were challenging - the second one not only for the steepness but also because it was very hard to keep going up the narrow lane when virtually everyone else was walking and there was consequently little room to squeeze by. I wonder if this was part of the diverted course due to the felled tree? Wonderful coming down off the moor and the last 10 miles or so following the river which was virtually in flood.

Superbly organised as ever and quick and effective decision making regarding diversion due to fallen tree around Holne Chase. Feed Station first class, as was the medical support that we required. Weather made first 40 miles or so pretty tough, but that's why we do it. Definitely back next year, as long as we are quick enough to get a place!
