The Lord Whisky Cyclo-Sportive will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 4th June 2012. The course is fully signed and on quite roads, including the North Downs and Romney Marsh (with a few hills!). You can ride distances of 80kms (50 miles) or 116kms (72 miles). The event will start and finish at the Park House Animal Sanctuary in Stelling Minnis. To celebrate 60 years of Her Maj we will be riding 60 miles of glorious Cheshire roads and eating copious amounts of cake. We expect the roads to be quiet whilst the plebs stay at home glued to their boxes watching the Royal celebrations. Enjoy this stunning two day challenge ride now in its third year. Day 1 covers 156miles ,Day two 120miles. Riders set of in three groups fast, medium and slow and cycle around the counties boarders in a clockwise direction. Fully supported all the way, day one concludes with an overnight stay at the picturesque seaside town of Arnside. Day two concludes with a police escort through the market town of cockermouth. Two road routes to choose from; 50km (30 miles) - with a few inclines for the regular cyclist or those who want to train for the event and 100km (60 miles) - a severe test of fitness for the experienced cyclists.
