The Ride with No Name may be the biggest 30km ride you'll take on this year! The ultimate early evening ride, starting and finishing at one of Hampshire's finest pubs, it features a massive 1,000m of climbing and descending in a relentless but little known pocket of hills called the Hangers. Let's put that in perspective for a moment. 1,000m of climbing in 30km is 50% more climb per km than the South Downs Way (which sits a few miles to the south). This is a short ride with a big punch! The ancient, wooded hills of the Hangers feature a host of great riding, from insanely steep climbs to barrelling single track descents, gnarly little drop-ins and perilous rain-rut runs. All in one of the most beautiful hidden corners of the countryside that you've (probably) never heard of! As if that wasn't enough, the ride is based from (and named for) the local legend that is The Pub with No Name, one of the very best country pubs you'll find. A charming 17th Century hostelry, it serves a wide selection of excellent beers, and delicious home cooked food. The perfect place to finish your ride and enjoy a pint and bite to eat! And if you want more than the one pint, there's camping on site too, in the pubs very own camping field! Stay on for the evening, climb into your tent and leave at your leisure on Sunday morning!
