I am pleased to see the numbers taking part have increased over the years, but it deserves to have even more. Unlike some on the sportive bandwagon, this one is worth every penny of the modest entry fee.

Have taken part in this sportive the last couple of years and despite the weather not being particularly good on either occasion it has always been enjoyable. The route starts from just south of Edinburgh and takes in some amazing scenery as it heads down to Innerleithin. Whilst there are no killer hills there are plenty that will test your legs. It is always well marshalled and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Hit a nice summers day and it would be an amazing day out.
